Community's Child website located at http://www.communityschild.org and the redirect portal at http://www.cchild.org are designed and currently optimized for Microsoft IE6 "Internet Explorer Version 6", running on Microsoft Windows 98SE, Windows 2000 Pro or Windows XP SP2 using a screen resolution of 1024 X 768 and 32 bit color depth. (Your Browser MUST be Java enabled to view and use all attributes of the site) (Click here for Sun Microsystems Java plug-in)

We recognize the fact that there are many competitive browsers generally available on the World Wide Web and acknowledge the fact that these other browsers work well, however we at Community's Child simply cannot provide support for all available browsers as of 4QT06.

We will continue to provide "workarounds" and support the following major browsers in use today, they are as follows:

1. Microsoft IE6 and its replacement IE7 (known issues IE7) (Microsoft Browser Support)

2. Netscape Version 8.1.2 (known issues)

3. AOL Version 9 Optimized & up (known issues)

We are aware of most rendering / compatibility issues with the above browsers and will continue to work to improve our site for viewing on the above mentioned browsers.

Community's Child main site is constructed in XHTML 1.0 and uses CSS for layout and styles, most pages have validated as of December 2006, the W3C emblem will appear on the bottom of the page as this is completed. The http://www.cchild.org redirect is constructed using HTML 4.01.

If you wish to validate one of our pages you may do so with the understanding, our pages have been validated by the developer before uploading and at that time the page code, does not have any "extra" code added to it... the server at our web-hosting service automatically adds code to the end of the page for counting statistical purposes, therefore we have no control over this issue; the server code cannot be validated using the web method of checking, you must use direct file upload and remove this code first. If you are a home or personal user and utilize Symantec Norton AntiVirus a non conforming JavaScript is added to the <HEAD> tag of the page and also to the end of the HTML of the page. "Symantec Corporate AntiVirus users are not affected by this issue". Community's Child pages have been validated using version 0.7.4 of the online validator located at http://validator.w3.org/
